Hatro LZ634 Reinforced Wide Carrier Tape | Custom 12mm New PC Packaging Solution for 2410 Rectangular SMD Chips

LZ634 is a high-rigidity wide-format carrier tape built for thick, heavy 2410 rectangular resistors and capacitors. Ordinary standard 0.20~0.25mm thin PC carrier tapes easily bend and permanently curl after winding heavy 2410 component reels, causing feeding deviation and machine downtime on wide-format SMT production lines.
Hatro upgrades LZ634 with a 0.30mm ultra-thick new PC substrate, drastically improving structural rigidity to eliminate deformation even after months of reel stacking and long-distance sea freight. The deep 2.87mm pocket fully contains the thick body of 2410 components without pin extrusion or surface scratching. The elongated 3.10×6.90mm cavity tightly locks the long rectangular chip, limiting front-back and lateral sliding to prevent component tilting. The 1.50° wide demolding angle optimizes continuous thermoforming efficiency and ensures smooth component ejection during high-speed SMT mounting. The new black conductive PC maintains stable ESD protection and light shielding for sensitive passive components. All dimensions comply strictly with EIA-481 international carrier tape standards, fully compatible with all mainstream 12mm automated taping and placement equipment.

Core Competitive Advantages

  1. 0.30mm Ultra-Thick Reinforced New PC Substrate: Far higher rigidity than conventional thin PC tape, no permanent curling even with heavy full reels of 2410 components.

  2. Low-Temperature Toughened New PC Formula: Outperforms ordinary PC in cold resistance, resisting cracking during cold-region cross-border shipping and low-temperature warehouse storage.

  3. Elongated Deep Cavity Exclusive for 2410 Chips: Precisely fits long rectangular component outline, effectively limiting shaking and tilting during transportation and taping.

  4. Integral Black Light-Shielding & Anti-Static Performance: No surface coating shedding, long-term stable ESD protection for passive components.

  5. One-Stop Supporting Packaging Accessories: Matching wide cover tape and large plastic reels available together, rapid cavity size adjustment for variant 2410 part models.

Application Scenarios

  • 2410 packaged thick rectangular resistors, capacitors and other passive SMD components

  • Component packaging factories running 12mm wide continuous high-volume SMT production lines

  • Electronic manufacturers requiring stable reel flatness for long-term bulk inventory and cross-border export

Q&A Session

Q: What makes the 0.30mm thick new PC better than regular 0.25mm PC tape for 2410 components?
A: 2410 chips are heavy and thick; thin PC tape will bend permanently after winding heavy reels. The 0.30mm upgraded substrate greatly improves structural strength, while the new toughened formula prevents brittleness in cold international logistics, keeping the tape flat all the way to the customer’s factory.
Q: Why design an elongated deep pocket for 2410 parts?
A: 2410 components are long rectangular chips. Shallow pockets squeeze the top of the thick chip, while square pockets leave too much side clearance, causing the part to flip over during winding. The elongated deep cavity perfectly wraps the component without compression or tilting.
